ORANGE, Texas, November 29, 2007 – Don’t miss your chance to view the beautiful holiday decorations at the W. H. Stark House December 4 through January 2. Full tours are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm.

 

As part of this year’s decorations, the Stark family Dining Room table will be set for a holiday party, and the Breakfast Room table will be set for a Christmas morning breakfast. In addition, the Carriage House will feature a Christmas tree with ornaments made of vintage lace, silk flowers, ribbons, and beads that were found in a sewing box belonging to the Stark family. The Carriage House will also feature additional holiday decorations.

 

Full tours of the Stark House are available with reservations at regular admission. All tours are limited to those ages 10 and up.

 

The Stark House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark by the Texas Historical Commission. All tours begin at the entrance through the Carriage House at 610 Main Avenue. Regular admission for a full tour of the House is $5 per person and $2 for seniors ages 65 and over and students ages 10-18.
