ORANGE, Texas, November 7, 2007 – It’s Thanksgiving at the W. H. Stark House. The dining room table has been set with Stark family china, silver, and crystal and will be on display for the public now through Saturday, November 24, 2007. First floor tours of the decorations are free of charge with no reservations required.

The exquisite table setting includes Bavarian service plates, Indian Tree china by Coalport, Hawkes stemware with the “WHS” monogram, Virginiana flatware by the Gorham Manufacturing Company, and sterling hollowware. A white damask tablecloth monogrammed with “MSM” and an autumnal floral centerpiece complete the setting.

A Gorham sterling centerpiece bowl and separate fall arrangement will be on display in the breakfast room, and additional serving trays and monogrammed wine glasses will be displayed in the back hall.

Full tours of the W.H. Stark House are available with reservations and regular admission. All tours are limited to those age 10 and up.

The W.H. Stark House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark by the Texas Historical Commission. All tours, including the Thanksgiving tour, begin at the entrance through the Carriage House at 610 Main Avenue and are available Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Regular admission for a full tour of the House is $5 per person and $2 for seniors age 65 and over and students ages 10-18.
