    This American vase was created by The Rookwood Pottery Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio, circa 1922. It is shape number 1920 and features a waisted neck and tapering cylindrical form. Its black iris glaze is heavily streaked and hazy with a colorful English ivy decoration created by Kataro Shirayamadani.
